What information is required to cast a spell?

The casting of a spell is directly tied in with the person – or people – involved in the casting. If you are completely unaware of who the spell is for it is much more likely to fail than if you know the person well. A clear target must be identified and a method of placing that spell upon him or her must be available as well.

For you, this simply means that you must provide a name at the least. I cannot cast a spell without knowing who the spell is for! A name is the minimum I require to cast a spell. If you feel comfortable providing a name and birthday this will be sufficient and will allow the casting of a powerful spell. Some even include pictures and it is encouraged to do so. If you feel comfortable providing a picture of yourself or the person you want the spell placed upon you may rest assured that it will be disposed of once the spell is complete. The same is true for all identifying information. Your privacy is my utmost concern.

A final note about bodily samples, such as blood or hair, as well as non-bodily images such as photographs and pictures. Many casters require bodily samples of some sort. While some traditions require these, I have found that they are absolutely not necessary. In fact, for many inexperienced casters they serve as crutches rather than aides. I do not use any bodily samples for any of my spells and I urge you to beware of casters who require such personal elements, as this can put you at more risk for magical backlash than for helping your spell succeed.
